I don’t care how trashy Amy Winehouse is – and I really don’t understand the comparison with Macy Gray (who I’m pretty ambivalent about). She is probably the only pop singer who employs any kind of original phrasing in her singing. A truly great vocalist – arguably the greatest of her generation.
